Of all the bad drivers in Sydney, I've found the worst one at GM Cabs.

    1. Speaking so loudly on the phone that we could hardly hold a conversation in the backseat.

I live quite close to the airport so when a taxi collected me off a flight and I said I wanted to only go to Brighton Le Sands the driver was annoyed.

Seemed to be overcharged for a standard fare. Looked at the tax receipt and it has completely fake driver #, ABN and taxi number.

On dropping me off, while he was running my credit card through I opened up my suitcase (that was on the seat beside me) to put my laptop in it.

    3. Slamming the breaks, twice. Not so much fun when you're riding with a pregnant woman.

We had to wait more than 30 minutes for the GM taxi driver to pick us up (after calling 2 times to remind the operator that their taxi has not arrived yet). Our destination is the Sydney Domestic Airport which normally takes 20 minutes, but thanks to the Chinese driver ( the operator called him George) for not following the GPS. He said there is traffic congestion ahead, and he knew this area very well that he did not need the GPS. As a result, we arrived the airport and it took 40 minutes, and the boarding gate was about to close. After that, I passed my Mastercard ( which has $230 in that moment) to my friend who was still in that car to pay for the taxi fee, so I could run to the check-in counter first. But when I was half-way to the check-in counter, my friend was still in the taxi, then I had to come back to the taxi to see what was wrong. The fact is the taxi driver did not input the taxi fee to the POS and he asked us to give him another card, so we had to unpack our luggage to get the cash ($97 which is double our usual taxi fee to this airport) for him. Eventually, we missed the flight the first time ever.

    2. Inattentive driving, probably from laughing so much during his conversation.

He promptly got out, took my suitcase and tossed it in the middle of the road.

The outcome was me in danger in the middle of the road putting belongings back into the suitcase that had fallen during the toss.

I said i'll zip up my suitcase and if he can assist with it, that'd be great and make it quicker for both of us.

When he finished the transaction I was putting away the receipt and fishing in my handbag for keys and he told me to finally stop wasting his time and get out.
