  Today, at Bankstown library, I saw two innocent boys being kicked out by five police officers and an incredibly rude security guard. The two boys came after I arrived at the library and didn’t leave their desk for about 5 hours, they were continuously studying and keeping quiet. The police suddenly marched in with a raging security guard and roughly “escorted” the young boys out of the library. They claimed the boys were harassing others when they were just sitting and minding their own business the whole time. The librarian knew they hadn’t caused any fuss yet simply looked on as these studying teens were unjustly treated. The police and security went on to be incredibly rude and abusive towards the teens outside the library. The security guard threw horrendous racial slurs at them without remorse. I’ll never forget the mistreatment of these innocent teens and I will never go back to that horrible library.

  My whole group was forced to study in the cafe as adults are not allowed coffee in the library which I think is harsh (food and drink is fair enough, but one coffee for an adult should be fine - coffee and studying often go hand in hand)... I rarely deal with the staff but the times I have they were decidedly unfriendly (which made the no coffee rule seem so much worse)... Books are all old, can never find anything newish... Definitely not a quiet library like the old one was... However the layout is really nice and the view is beautiful.

  Facility is new and clean, however it's probably one of the loudest libraries I've been to. Hardly quiet even in the 'quiet study areas'. Wifi is limited to 500mb per day.

  Love the overall design and layout of the library, but I was feeding my baby from a bottle and a middle aged librarian came and quite rudely told me that no drinks are allowed in the library, not even milk, and told me I had to go outside. I was lost for words.
